Vietnam’s Hoa Sen Group has introduced its Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium (ZAM) coated steel coil, branded as MAGSHIELD, with an official launch on August 5, 2025, at the Hoa Sen’s Nghe An factory.
Marketed as a next-generation coated steel, MAGSHIELD uses a high-quality steel base and a continuous hot-dip coating process with a precisely formulated Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium alloy. The company said the coating provides three to five times greater corrosion resistance and double the hardness of traditional galvanized steel.
Designed for harsh environments, the product meets strict technical standards while delivering long-term durability and maintaining aesthetic quality, according to the company.
MAGSHIELD will be offered in 0.5-2 mm thickness for commercial grades and 1.3-1.5 mm for construction grades (SG250GD-SG450GD), in widths of 762-1,260 mm, and with zinc coating weights of 80-275 gsm.
