Turkey exported 819,300 tons of HRC during the first four months of 2026, down more than 18pct YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Italy remained the largest destination for Turkish HRC exports, importing 205,000 tons, followed by Spain with 88,600 tons and Greece with 62,300 tons.
In April alone, Turkey’s HRC exports declined by 24pct YoY to 218,900 tons. Export volumes were also down 24pct compared to March, reflecting weaker overseas demand and increased competition in key export markets.
