Turkey exported around 1.73 mln tons of HRC in the first seven months of 2025, marking a 24pct YoY increase, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Italy was the leading buyer with 471,000 tons, followed by Spain at 309,100 tons, Portugal at 170,000 tons, and Egypt at 102,800 tons.
However, exports in July fell sharply to about 172,000 tons, down 44pct from a year earlier and 36pct lower than the previous month.
