Turkey’s HRC exports reached approximately 1.84 mln tons in the first nine months of 2024, surging by 134pct compared to the same period last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
From January to September 2024, Italy was the largest importer of Turkish HRC, receiving 538,500 tons, followed by Spain with nearly 230,000 tons and Egypt with 206,500 tons.
In September 2024, Turkey’s HRC exports rose by 133pct YoY and nearly 7pct month-over-month, totaling 226,000 tons.
