Turkey’s HRC exports reached approximately 1.1 mln tons in the first half of this year, marking a 120pct increase YoY, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Italy was the largest destination for Turkish wire rod during this period, with 336,500 tons exported, followed by Egypt with 131,000 tons and Spain with 122,000 tons.
In June 2024, Turkey’s HRC exports rose by 21pct month-on-month and by 180pct YoY, totaling 244,000 tons.
