Turkey’s HRC imports increased by 6.5pct YoY to 1.14 mln tons during the first four months of 2026, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Russia remained the largest supplier during the period with 248,900 tons, followed by China with 229,800 tons and Malaysia with 223,000 tons.
In April alone, Turkey imported 334,850 tons of HRC, up around 47pct compared to the same month last year and 8pct higher than in March.
