Turkey imported 2.56 mln tons of HRC in the first eight months of 2025, a 5pct increase YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
China was the leading supplier with 1 mln tons, followed by Russia (599,000 tons), Egypt (294,000 tons), and South Korea (229,900 tons).
In August alone, HRC imports reached 290,800 tons, up 19pct from a year earlier but down 29pct compared with July.
