Interpipe is supplying seamless steel pipes for a challenging engineering project located 3,000 meters above sea level in the Swiss Alps. The project involves the full reconstruction of an old observation tower at the Engelberg-Titlis ski resort, set for completion by 2026.
The delivery includes line pipes made from S355J2H grade steel, conforming to the EN 10210-1/2 standard. Known for their high structural strength, these pipes are ideal for construction in harsh alpine conditions, where wind, water erosion, and extreme temperatures pose significant challenges.
Favored for their strength-to-weight ratio, such pipes enable lightweight yet durable architectural designs. Similar products are widely used in offshore platforms, bridge construction, shipbuilding, and heavy machinery manufacturing, where performance under dynamic loads is critical.
Interpipe, a global supplier of steel pipes and railway products, operates in over 50 countries. In 2024, it delivered 511,000 tons of pipes and 115,000 tons of railway products under its KLW brand.
