Turkish steelmaker Isik Celik has commissioned a new medium section rolling mill at its Karabuk facility, equipment supplier Germaksan & Germuhendislik said.
The launch followed successful hot tests, with parent company Baylan Group’s chairman inaugurating production at the site.
The new mill is designed to produce a wide range of hot-rolled profiles (60-240 mm), round bars (12-100 mm), square bars (20-80 mm), and flat bars.
It features fast roll change and flexible production capabilities, low energy consumption, advanced water recovery, robotic roll change and bundling systems, an efficient reheating furnace, and preventive maintenance technologies, alongside a green and ergonomic design.
Isik Celik produces rebar, angle iron, flat bars, square bars, round bars, and hexagonal steel products at its Karabuk plant.
