Jindal (India) Limited, part of the BC Jindal Group, has commissioned a new high-speed continuous colour coating line (CCL) at its Ranihati manufacturing complex in Howrah district, West Bengal.
The commissioning marks the completion of the company’s INR 15 bln (USD 154.6 mln) expansion program in West Bengal. Earlier in February 2026, the company had commissioned a new galvanizing line, cold rolling mill, and pickling facility.
The new colour coating line, supplied under an agreement with John Cockerill India, is expected to have annual production capacity of around 275,000 tons.
Following the expansion, Jindal (India) expects its production capacity to increase to around 60,000 tons per month, representing a 76pct increase compared with current levels. The company also projects revenue growth of around 75pct in FY27.
The new facility is equipped to process a wide range of steel strip thicknesses and widths and can produce coated steel products using polyester, SMP, epoxy, PVC, PU, PVDF, and Teflon coatings.
Jindal (India) operates manufacturing facilities in Howrah, West Bengal, producing coated flat steel products, pipes, and aluminum foil products.
