Jindal Renewables has signed a landmark Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with OQ Alternative Energy, Oman’s national renewable energy champion, for a 500MW renewable energy project. The clean power will support Jindal’s steel plants in Sohar and Duqm.
The agreement, signed during Oman Sustainability Week by Harssha Shetty, CEO of Jindal Oman, and Najla Al Jamali, CEO of OQ Alternative Energy, marks a major step toward large-scale integrated renewable energy development in the Sultanate.
According to the statement, the partnership aligns with Oman Vision 2040 by promoting economic diversification, industrial decarbonization, and scalable clean energy ecosystems.
