Turkish steel producer Kardemir has issued updated prices for wire rod and rebar, according to its latest price list.
The company reduced wire rod prices by USD 10 per ton compared to the last week of June. It is now offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod at USD 580 per ton EXW, and 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grades at USD 570 per ton EXW.
Kardemir also launched a new rebar sales round, keeping prices steady in local currency at TRY 21,460 per ton EXW (USD 536), the same as in its June 18 sales round. However, due to currency fluctuations, the price in USD terms reflects a decrease of USD 8 per ton.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
