Turkish steel producer Kardemir has reduced domestic rebar prices in its latest sales round.
The company is offering 12-32 mm rebar at TRY 26,675 (USD 573) per ton EXW, excluding VAT, down from TRY 26,875 (USD 583) per ton EXW in the previous sales round, when the exchange rate stood at TRY 46.1 per USD.
Market sources said Kardemir finalized sales soon after opening bookings, achieving solid order volumes.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is one of Turkey’s leading integrated steel producers with an annual crude steel capacity of approximately 3.5 mln tons. The company manufactures billets, blooms, rebar, wire rod and structural steel products at its Karabuk plant.
