Turkish steel producer Kardemir reported a net loss of TRY 1.68 bln (USD 38 mln) in 2025, narrowing from a loss of TRY 3.97 bln in 2024, according to the company’s stock exchange filing.
The company’s revenue declined to TRY 66.72 bln (USD 1.51 bln) in 2025, compared with TRY 73.95 bln in 2024.
Operationally, Kardemir produced 2.58 mln tons of liquid steel in 2025, slightly down from 2.59 mln tons in 2024. Pig iron production also edged lower to 2.28 mln tons, compared with 2.32 mln tons a year earlier. Finished steel production increased to 2.45 mln tons in 2025, up from 2.39 mln tons in 2024.
The company’s total sales volume reached 2.5 mln tons in 2025, rising from 2.26 mln tons in 2024.
Established in 1937, Kardemir is a key player in Turkey’s steel industry, with a 3.5 mln tons annual production capacity. The company manufactures billets, blooms, rebars, profiles and other steel products at its Karabuk-based facilities.
