Kardemir raises billet, rebar allocations for Q2, cuts wire rod and profiles

Turkish steel producer Kardemir has announced its sales allocation plan for Q2 2026, increasing billet and rebar volumes while reducing allocations for wire rod and profiles compared with the previous quarter.

Billet allocations are set at 350,000 tons, up from 194,000 tons in Q1 2026. Rebar volumes have been raised slightly to 161,000 tons from 156,000 tons.

In contrast, wire rod allocations have been reduced to 105,000 tons from 134,000 tons, while profile allocations declined to 88,000 tons from 101,000 tons in the previous quarter.

In line with company policy, 30pct of total production will be reserved for shareholders, who are entitled to preferential purchasing rights.

Karabuk Demir Celik (Kardemir) was established in 1938 as a state owned company and Turkey’s first integrated steel producer. In 1995, the company was privatized. It offers steel products, such as blooms, billets, rebars, profiles along with other steel products.
