Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has launched a new sales round for rebar and wire rod, releasing updated prices in its latest list.
Rebar is now offered at TRY 23,365 per ton (USD 560), up from TRY 22,475 per ton (USD 544) in the September 17 round, based on an exchange rate of TRY 41.28 per USD.
Wire rod prices were also raised by USD 5 per ton. The company is offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade at USD 595 per ton EXW, while 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grades are listed at USD 585 per ton EXW.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
