Turkish steel manufacturer Kardemir has lowered its wire rod prices in the latest sales update.
The company is now offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod at USD 615 per ton EXW, a decrease of USD 10 per ton from the prices set in the first week of July. Additionally, Kardemir has reduced the price of 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod by USD 10 per ton, bringing it to USD 605 per ton EXW.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
