Maanshan Iron & Steel has awarded Danieli a contract to supply a new continuous caster for installation at its plant in Maanshan, Anhui province, China.
The caster will produce high-quality round billets ranging from 150mm to 380mm in diameter, covering a range of value-added special steels, including alloy grades for premium seamless tube production.
The equipment will feature Danieli Automation Level 1 and Level 2 systems, including Liquid Pool Control (LPC) technology. The package will provide dynamic secondary-cooling control, load distribution and electromagnetic stirring to support stable casting conditions and consistent product quality.
Key components will be manufactured, assembled and tested at Danieli’s facilities in China.
