Moroccan steel producer Maghreb Steel recorded higher sales volumes and revenue in the second quarter of 2026, supported mainly by improved sales in the local market.
The company’s sales volume increased by 7pct YoY to 162,000 tons in Q2 2026 from 152,000 tons a year earlier. Sales for the first half of 2026 reached 308,000 tons, up 3pct from 299,000 tons in H1 2025.
Maghreb Steel’s revenue rose 9pct YoY to MAD 1.614 bln (USD 172.6 mln) in Q2 2026 from MAD 1.486 bln, mainly due to higher local sales volumes. Revenue for H1 2026 increased 5pct to MAD 3.078 bln (USD 329 mln) from MAD 2.938 bln in the corresponding period of 2025.
Maghreb Steel, the country’s sole flat steel producer with an annual capacity of 1 mln tons, produces hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized and prepainted coils and sheets.
