Marubeni-Itochu Steel establishes pipe distribution firm in Georgetown

Japan-based Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. has established a steel pipe and tubular products distribution company in Georgetown, Guyana, expanding its presence in the growing energy market in South America.

The new entity will focus on the supply and distribution of OCTG and line pipe products, targeting demand from the oil and gas sector, particularly offshore developments in Guyana.
