Saudi-based Naqi Water, a producer and bottler of purified drinking water, has signed a SAR 4.2 mln (USD 1.2m) contract with Middle East Factory for Machines Co. (MEMCO) to supply and install a stainless-steel desalination plant at its upcoming factory in Riyadh.
The deal was signed with MEMCO, one of Naqi Water’s major shareholders, which owns 50pct of MEMCO’s capital and also holds a 50pct stake in United Saqi Group, itself a 35pct shareholder in Naqi Water.
The new plant will be built using stainless steel to ensure corrosion resistance, durability, and reliability under high-temperature and saline conditions, extending the lifespan and efficiency of desalination operations.
