Saudi Arabia’s steel fabrication firm, Al Nafie Metal Industries (NMI) aims to become the Middle East’s top steel fabrication company, according to General Manager Majed Suleiman Al Nafie in an interview with Gulf Construction.
NMI, involved in landmark projects such as the Shuaiba III desalination plant, Riyadh Metro, and the Neom city, leverages the construction market surge driven by Vision 2030. Al Nafie noted a dramatic rise in steel fabrication demand, especially with Saudi Arabia hosting the 2034 World Cup.
To meet increasing demand, NMI is expanding its fabrication capacity and product portfolio, focusing on sectors like oil and gas and power generation. Located in Jeddah’s Al-Khumrah area, NMI’s current production capacity is 10,000 tons per month. Recent upgrades include acquiring advanced machinery to enhance production efficiency.
Positioning itself as a one-stop shop, NMI’s portfolio includes steel structures, storage tanks, pressure vessels, power piping, and more, catering to industries like oil and gas, petrochemicals, and power generation. Looking ahead, Al Nafie underscores the importance of collaboration and invites industry leaders to partner with NMI in shaping the future of the region’s industrial landscape.
