ONDA awards contracts for airport expansion projects

The Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA) has awarded USD 440 mln in contracts to local construction firms Jet Contractors and SGTM for major expansions at Marrakech-Menara and Agadir-Al Massira airports. The projects aim to significantly boost passenger capacity at both facilities.

Jet Contractors will lead the USD 220 mln Marrakech-Menara upgrade, which includes roadway improvements, new green spaces, and fountains, raising the airport’s capacity from 9 mln to 16 mln passengers per year.

SGTM secured the USD 220 mln Agadir-Al Massira contract, covering expansion of the passenger terminal to 75,000 sq m, along with new road infrastructure, landscaping, extended access roads, and vehicle parking. Once complete, capacity will more than double from 3 mln to 7 mln passengers annually.
