Outokumpu has signed an agreement with Spanish road tanker manufacturer Parcisa to supply its Circle Green stainless steel, which carries up to 93pct lower emissions than the global industry average.
Parcisa becomes the first in its sector to integrate this ultra-low carbon material into tanker production.
Outokumpu has already cut its stainless steel emissions intensity by 32pct since 2016 and is targeting carbon neutrality by 2050. Circle Green is produced using 100pct scrap, 100pct low-carbon electricity, and optimized processes, with each batch certified and independently audited to international standards.
