Turkey’s rebar exports increased by 8pct YoY to around 1.49 mln tons in the January-April period, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Yemen remained the largest export destination for Turkish rebar during the period, receiving approximately 272,800 tons, followed by Palestine with 138,700 tons, Romania with 99,900 tons, and Peru with 89,000 tons.
In April alone, Turkey exported around 442,400 tons of rebar, up 53pct YoY and 2.4pct compared with March.
