Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores has received Environmental Clearance (EC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEFCC) for its Ramghad Manganese & Iron Ore Mines.
The clearance permits iron ore production of 0.216 mln tons per annum from the Ramghad mine. Manganese ore production will remain at 0.05 mln tons per annum, with total excavation including waste capped at 1.297 mln tons per annum.
The EC also authorizes the handling of 0.327 mln tons of previously stocked incidental iron ore within the first two years.
Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Limited, known for its mining operations in manganese and iron ore, as well as power generation and the manufacturing of ferroalloys and coke, aims to enhance its integration into steel and value-added products.
