Fujian Sangang Minguang Group (Sanming) has signed the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) for the reducing & sizing block RSB 500++/4 supplied by Kocks, marking the successful completion of its integration into the company’s SBQ rolling process at its new greenfield mill in southeastern China.
The RSB 500++/4 enables Sanming’s 800,000 tons per annum rolling mill to produce high-quality straight bars from 50 to 130 mm with exceptional dimensional accuracy. Positioned after a reversing roughing mill and 10 H/V stands, the block expands Sanming’s SBQ product range, strengthening its ability to serve Chinese processing industries.
Kocks’ scope of supply included the StarDrive design, automated stand adjustments via remote control, and the BAMICON Octopus software for roll shop setup. The project was supported by Kocks’ installation, commissioning, and training services, ensuring seamless execution.
