Turkey’s Saritas Stainless Steel has awarded Andritz a major contract to supply key equipment for its new integrated stainless steel plant in Yalova, supporting the company’s plans to expand domestic stainless steel production.
Under the first phase of the project, Andritz will supply cold rolling mills, an annealing and pickling line, skin-pass mills and related auxiliary equipment. The facility is scheduled to start operations in early 2028.
The new plant will produce high-quality cold-rolled stainless steel products for applications in sectors including home appliances, automotive and energy.
Once fully completed, the integrated facility will have an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons. The project is expected to strengthen Turkey’s domestic stainless steel industry and reduce the country’s reliance on imported stainless steel products.
Saritas said the investment forms part of its long-term growth strategy, with a focus on operational efficiency, digital process control and the production of stainless steel products that meet international quality standards.
Saritas is Turkey’s leading stainless steel service center and flat stainless steel processor. The company operates a major processing facility in Gebze and is currently developing the integrated stainless steel complex in Yalova as part of its expansion strategy.
