Turkey imported about 10.9 mln tons of scrap in January-July 2025, a 6pct decline YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The United States was the largest supplier with 2 mln tons, followed by the Netherlands at 1.74 mln tons and the United Kingdom at 1.25 mln tons.
In July alone, imports totaled 1.47 mln tons, down nearly 8pct YoY but up 22pct compared to June.
