Pakistan imported 208,764 tons of steel scrap in March 2026, down 29.7pct YoY from 296,929 tons in the same month last year, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
However, imports increased by 17.4pct compared with the previous month.
In the first quarter of 2026, total steel scrap imports stood at 883,044 tons, marking a 5.7pct decrease compared with the same period last year.
