In January 2025, Pakistan’s scrap imports saw a slight decline, falling by 4.99pct compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The country imported a total of 213,818 tons of scrap during the month, reflecting a decrease in demand on a YoY basis.
However, on a month-on-month basis, Pakistan’s scrap imports showed an improvement, rising by 6.3pct compared to December 2024
