Turkey imported 4.7 mln tons of ferrous scrap in the first quarter of 2026, up 0.85pct YoY, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.
The United States remained the largest supplier, with shipments of 981,400 tons, followed by the Netherlands at 589,900 tons and the United Kingdom at 483,900 tons.
In March, scrap imports totaled 1.6 mln tons, down 1.8pct YoY but up more than 16pct compared to the previous month.
