Pakistan imported 312,175 tons of steel scrap in August 2025, up 9.83pct YoY from 284,223 tons in the same month last year, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data. Imports were broadly stable compared to July levels.
In the first eight months of 2025, the country’s scrap imports reached 2.14 mln tons, marking a 9.93pct increase from the same period in 2024.
