Fushun Special Steel, a subsidiary of Shagang Group, has successfully rolled the first bar on its new Kocks Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB) 370++/4 in 5.0 design at its SBQ rolling mill in Fushun, Liaoning province.
The new 3-roll block, part of a modernization project designed for 600,000 tons of annual capacity, produces straight bars from 14 to 92 mm in diameter. It delivers high dimensional accuracy, superior surface quality, and operational reliability to meet the needs of demanding downstream industries.
Kocks also supplied remote control systems for automatic stand and guide adjustment, along with Bamicon Octopus software and hardware to optimize roll shop setup.
With the RSB now fully operational, Fushun aims to boost product quality, production flexibility, and consistency, reinforcing its position as a leading supplier of high-grade long products in China.
