Shyam Metalics and Energy reported strong YoY sales growth across most key product segments in August 2026, led by a more than doubling of carbon steel flat product sales.
Carbon steel flat sales increased 114.14pct YoY to 29,262 tons, while average realization rose 13.87pct to INR 82,395 (USD 869) per ton. The category includes CR coils and sheets, crash barriers, and HR tubes and pipes.
Sales of metallics increased 27.97pct to 334,957 tons, with average realization rising 8.73pct to INR 20,039 (USD 211) per ton. Carbon steel long-product sales rose 2.76pct to 142,897 tons, while average realization increased 2.54pct to INR 42,679 (USD 450) per ton.
Stainless steel sales rose 16.44pct to 10,920 tons, with average realization increasing 45.51pct to INR 183,032 (USD 1,931) per ton. Speciality alloy sales increased 27.97pct to 19,002 tons, while aluminium foil sales rose 27.41pct to 1,915 tons.
The company also said its new aluminium foil plant at Sambalpur, commissioned in July, has achieved stable operations. The facility has annual capacity of 18,000 tons.
