Danieli has announced the final acceptance of a new billet reheating furnace at the Stahlwerk Annahutte Max Aicher plant in Ainring-Hammerau, Germany.
Supplied by Danieli Centro Combustion, the 80 tph furnace exceeded performance targets, delivering precisely heated billets with uniform temperatures to enhance the quality of rolled products.
The furnace features energy-efficient and environmentally friendly operations, with reduced energy use, lower CO2 emissions, and ultra-low NOx levels. It is equipped with patented, hydrogen-ready HydroMab burners.
The scope included complete power distribution, automation systems, user-friendly interfaces, and L1/L2 controls with mathematical models to optimize the reheating process. The installation also covered material handling, hydraulic systems, and advanced combustion technologies such as air preheating and exhaust systems.
