Turkey’s imports of stainless steel flat products increased slightly by 1pct YoY in the first five months of 2024, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). In Jan-May 2024, Turkey imported 293,000 tons of stainless steel flat products.
China was the leading supplier, exporting 102,000 tons to Turkey during this period, up 37pct YoY. Indonesian stainless steel imports totaled 76,000 tons, while South Korea supplied 59,000 tons.
