Al Masaood Energy is producing third-generation solar systems in the UAE, with a strong focus on reducing carbon emissions in the oil and gas sector. The system is 80pct locally sourced, with key steel components supplied by Emirates Steel, Tiger Steel, and EG-Steel.
Ibrahim Al Hashidi, Regional Manager of Al Masaood’s Renewable Energy Division, highlighted at the “Make it in the Emirates” forum that the locally developed system surpasses global benchmarks by up to 20pct in efficiency.
Steel plays a critical role in the project, support structures, including I-beams manufactured from Emirates Steel, are a backbone of the installation.
This local steel supply chain enables scalable, high-performance solar power stations, enhancing the UAE’s capabilities in renewable energy manufacturing, the company said.
