Suez Steel achieves CARES 2 Rosette sustainability rating

Egypt’s Suez Steel has successfully completed the CARES Sustainable Constructional Steel (SCS) surveillance audit and achieved a 2 Rosette Rating under the CARES Rosette Rating System.

The company said the rating recognizes its commitment to sustainable steel production and responsible sourcing through effective management systems, efficient use of resources, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement and continuous operational improvement.

The CARES Rosette Rating System recognizes steel producers that demonstrate sustainability performance beyond the core certification requirements. According to Suez Steel, the 2 Rosette Rating places the company among leading CARES-certified steel manufacturers with advanced sustainability management practices.

Suez Steel said it will continue to strengthen its sustainability performance while supporting green construction, economic development and long-term value creation across its operations and supply chain.

Suez Steel, part of the Solb Misr Group, operates an integrated steel complex in Egypt with production capacity exceeding 2 mln tons per year, producing rebar, billets and coils, alongside a dedicated rail and heavy sections mill.
