    Tata Steel India reports higher output and deliveries in Q2 FY26

    Tata Steel India’s steel production rose 7pct YoY in Q2 FY26 to 5.67 mln tons, supported by the normalization of operations after the relining of the G Blast Furnace at Jamshedpur. Output was also up 8pct quarter-on-quarter.

    In the first half of FY26, production reached 10.9 mln tons, a 3pct YoY increase. Deliveries from Indian plants grew 7pct in Q2 and 20pct QoQ, aided by stronger output and stable demand despite seasonal rains. H1 deliveries were up 3pct YoY.

    Tata Steel Netherlands produced 1.67 mln tons of liquid steel and delivered 1.54 mln tons in Q2, posting slight QoQ and YoY gains.

    Tata Steel UK delivered 0.56 mln tons, supported by downstream processing of purchased substrate, while construction began on the Port Talbot EAF project.

    Tata Steel Thailand reported higher output of 0.36 mln tons, up from 0.3 mln tons in the same quarter last year, while deliveries rose to 0.36 mln tons from 0.28 mln tons a year earlier.

    Tata Steel Group ranks among the world’s leading steel producers, with an annual crude steel capacity of 35 mln tons.
