Tata Steel has awarded John Cockerill India a contract worth about INR 80 crore (USD 9 mln) to supply pickling and acid regeneration plants (ARP) for its Tinplate Division in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
The scope includes engineering, design, manufacturing, and delivery of critical components for the push-pull pickling line and ARP facilities, along with supervision of erection and commissioning.
The project aims to boost efficiency and sustainability in steel treatment, strengthening Tata Steel’s tinplate operations.
Scheduled for completion by mid-2027, the partnership highlights Tata Steel’s ongoing drive to modernize facilities and expand long-term production capacity.
