Tenaris has been awarded a contract to provide 450 tons of structural tubes for the Gewiss stadium, the home of Atalanta, the football team based in Bergamo, Italy. Tenaris operates a seamless mill in Dalmine, located near Bergamo.
The redevelopment and expansion project for the Atalanta stadium commenced in 2019 to meet the requirements set by UEFA for hosting European tournaments. As part of this initiative, Tenaris has already supplied approximately 1,500 tons of structural tubes to support the ceiling structures.
Following the conclusion of the current season, the stadium renovation will enter its final phase. Tenaris’ high-quality structural tubes will be utilized to construct the roof of the southern section of the stadium. The renovation is scheduled to commence between the end of July and the beginning of August this year, with an estimated completion date set between December 2023 and February 2024.
