Vietnamese steel producers Ton Dong A has reaffirmed its partnership with Danieli by ordering a new cold rolling mill to process 400,000 tons per year of low-carbon steel strip.
The twin-stand reversing cold-strip mill will be part of a new cold complex in Phu My, southern Vietnam. This investment will increase the company’s total cold-strip capacity to 1.2 mln tons annually.
Equipped with Danieli Automation process control, the four-high mill is designed for high productivity, superior flatness, and optimal material yield. This marks Ton Dong A’s third cold-strip mill from Danieli, complementing its two existing Danieli cold-rolling mills and two hot-dip galvanizing lines.
The new facility is expected to begin production of construction-grade steel and material for home appliances by the end of 2026.
