Tubacex secures new umbilical tube contracts

Tubacex has secured three new umbilical tube contracts worth a combined EUR 26 mln (USD 30.6 mln), lifting its order book in this high-value offshore Oil & Gas segment to a record level. Awarded by three global clients, the projects span the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, the Europe-Mediterranean region, Australia and Africa, highlighting the group’s geographic diversification and strength in technically complex offshore developments.

The record backlog reflects Tubacex’s established industrial track record, built on the delivery of more than 20,000 km of umbilical tubes over the past decade. The company combines manufacturing expertise with project management and stringent quality control, capabilities that are critical in subsea applications where reliability and traceability are essential.

Tubacex also offers integrated technical services across the full project lifecycle, from specification support and validation to execution and delivery, aimed at reducing operational risk and ensuring alignment with subsea requirements. The company said it has around 12 months of visibility in the umbilicals segment, with execution supported by specialized centers of competence in Spain and Austria.

The announcement comes amid a supportive subsea market outlook. According to Rystad, global subsea spending is expected to grow by around 10pct through 2027, led by Brazil and supported by renewed activity in Europe and Norway, as well as continued investment in emerging regions such as Guyana and Namibia.

Headquartered in Spain, Tubacex is a global leader in seamless stainless steel and high-performance alloy tubular products, operating 25 production plants and 17 service center worldwide.
