Spanish seamless tube producer Tubos Reunidos has supplied 160 tons of seamless stainless steel tubes for the Gorakhpur Nuclear Power Plant (GHAVP) in India, strengthening its presence in the global nuclear supply chain.
The company said the tubes will be used in safety-critical systems at the plant, requiring high standards of corrosion resistance, mechanical performance and full material traceability. Nuclear-grade tubular products must comply with stringent technical specifications and quality control requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
The Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP), being developed by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL) in Haryana, will have a total installed capacity of 2,800 MW upon completion through four indigenous 700 MWe pressurized heavy water reactors (PHWRs).
Tubos Reunidos is a Spanish manufacturer of seamless steel pipes, producing carbon, alloy and stainless steel tubes for the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and automotive industries. The company has an annual production capacity of more than 300,000 tons and exports to over 80 countries.
