Saudi Arabia’s Universal Metal Coating Company (Unicoil) has commissioned a new high-speed precision slitting line, expanding its steel processing capabilities for galvanized steel coils.
The new line is designed to process galvanized coils with thicknesses ranging from 0.25 mm to 3.0 mm, enabling greater dimensional accuracy, improved production efficiency and enhanced product quality.
Unicoil said the investment will strengthen its ability to meet demand from the industrial and construction sectors while supporting the supply of precision-slit galvanized steel products.
Unicoil operates a 400,000 tons per year pickling line and a 340,000 tons per year cold reversing mill. The company’s production capacity is 250,000 tons per annum for galvanized steel and 210,000 tons for pre-painted steel. Unicoil has manufacturing facilities in Al-Jubail and Jeddah.
