The US Department of Commerce has finalized its antidumping review of circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe from the UAE, covering the December 2023-November 2024 review period. Commerce determined that the UAE producers and exporters covered by the review sold the subject products below normal value.
Conares Metal Supply Limited received a final dumping margin of 3.15pct, unchanged from the preliminary result.
Ajmal Steel Tubes & Pipes, K.D. Industries and TSI Metal Industries were assigned a final margin of 4.68pct, compared with the preliminary 5.50pct.
The margin for Universal Tube and Pipe Industries, THL Tube and Pipe Industries and KHK Scaffolding and Formwork was lowered to 5.11pct from the preliminary 6.16pct.
For UAE producers and exporters not covered by the review, the US cash deposit rate remains 5.95pct, the all-others rate established in the original investigation.
UAE steel exports to the US fell 38.3pct YoY to 129,626 tons in Jan-Jul 2026, with pipe and tube accounting for 98,125 tons, or about 76pct of the total. Pipe and tube exports declined 27.2pct YoY, while standard pipe shipments fell 37.4pct to 57,841 tons. The decline in overall exports was mainly attributed to Gulf shipping disruptions and higher freight costs.
