Turkey exported approximately 1.17 mln tons of welded steel pipes in the first seven months of this year, marking an 11pct increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the largest destination, receiving around 235,000 tons, a 44pct YoY rise. Other key markets included the US with 100,200 tons and the UK with 98,000 tons. In July 2024, Turkey’s welded steel pipe exports reached 125,400 tons, up 4.3pct YoY but down 37pct compared to the previous month.
