Turkey exported 1.04 mln tons of welded steel pipes in the first half of the year, marking a 12.3pct increase from the previous year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the largest recipient, importing about 224,000 tons, up 58pct YoY. Other key markets included the US, with around 100,000 tons (a 53pct increase), and the UK, with roughly 83,000 tons (an 8pct rise).
In June 2024, welded steel pipe exports from Turkey reached about 201,000 tons, reflecting a 1.6pct decrease from the previous month and a slight 0.7pct increase compared to the same month last year.
