India’s Welspun Corp has established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Welspun Europe S.A., in Spain to strengthen its export presence across all business verticals, according to the company’s exchange filing. Welspun confirmed that it has received the Certificate of Incorporation from the Spanish authorities.
The new entity will focus on trading pig iron and various conduits and systems for fluid transport, including ductile iron conduits, carbon steel conduits, PVC-O conduits, stainless steel pipes, and water storage tanks.
As a major global manufacturer of large diameter pipes, Welspun Corp Ltd. operates across six continents and 50 countries, with an annual production capacity of 2.2 mln tons. The company’s manufacturing capabilities include BIS-certified billets, rebars, ductile iron pipes, and stainless steel pipes. Welspun Corp Ltd. has manufacturing facilities in Anjar (Gujarat), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mandya (Karnataka), and Jhagadia (Gujarat) in India, as well as units in Saudi Arabia and the USA.
